After fine sanding, use Perfect-It Rubbing Compound as Step 1 in the Perfect-It paint finishing system to achieve a high gloss finish on 2-part urethane painted surfaces — like those on your boat or car.
This state-of-the-art compound utilizes both abrasive and chemical and technologies to remove fine sanding scratches left by Trizact P3000 grit foam blending discs, or light surface oxidation or hazing. See Related Products, below.
Apply using either a 3M wool pad or a foam compounding pad.
Works on all types of paints, leaving a fine finish.
• When buffing, use the 3M single-sided Perfect-It III Wool Hookit Compounding Pad (MMM 05719), or double-sided SuperBuff™ III Wool Compounding Pad (MMM 05703), as you prefer
• Work a 2 ft x 2 ft area at a time
• Suggested buffer speed: 1200 - 2000 rpm
